Bernie's Restaurant and Bar is a chef-owned & operated and  located in Montgomery Center, nestled next to Jay Peak and the heart of Vermont's best ski country. With an atmosphere that combines the small town familiarity of a local diner with the flavorful aromas of gourmet cooking and the rustic elegance of traditional Vermont. Bernie's serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner ensuring our guest of a satisfying dining experience any time of the day or night.

"This un-pretentious restaurant is one of my favorites in the area. I recently had lunch there, and am constantly amazed at the quality of the food and fabulous value this place offers. They invest all their money in the local and fresh ingredients they use, and though it may not be the most beautiful building on the street, their food is number one!! One of the reasons I chose to locate to this small town is the selection of quality restaurants within walking distance of the front door of our bed and breakfast so our guests would not lack convenience and choice. When we moved, my partner and I ate here almost every day while our inn was undergoing renovations. The owner, John, was always so accommodating to us. For example, I LOVE iceburg lettuce salads, and he was always happy to make up a special salad just for me. I am a big soup eater, so he always serves my soup in an extra deep bowl, I like chili with spaghetti, so he makes it that way just for me. The list goes on and on.
