Restaurants in Northeastern Vermont

Dining in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom may be an experience in itself. Though remote, many of our restaurants are Chef owned and operated.

Though we're not near an ocean shoreline, local restaurants import lobster and fish from Maine, however, you might also find local brook trout on the menu.

Authentic cuisine from Thailand are also a mainstay with Dusit Thai Cuisine in Newport, VT., also home to Lago Trattoria, that serves authentic Italian and Mediterranean cuisine including seafood, pasta, brick oven pizza made with Vermont grown vegetables and herbs.

For the health conscious, Juniper's Restaurant might suit your pallet.  The restaurant's focus is on presenting, in part, organic and health foods as a menu choice.  Don't worry about depriving your dinner guests of French fries, as they serve those too.

Many restaurants up here, however, will serve local produce and meats when in season.  Local farms produce milk, cheese, along with squash and corn.
