Irasburg, VT Irasburg, VT is a quiet, quaint town with rolling acres of farms, woodlands and scenic beauty surrounding the downtown Irasburg Commons, a picturesque green with stores adjacent. ﷯During the summer, the town is alive with activity during the Kingdom Run Annual Road Race. The winter brings many snowmobilers who travail the VAST Trail that extends through rolling hillsides and forests. The VAST Trail The VAST Trail in Irasburg converges at the downtown Irasburg Square, where you may shop for groceries and enjoy a local country diner. The Vast Trail from Irasburg will bring you though townships and villages, past snow covered mountains and to lakes made passable during the coldest part of winter by the season's cold. Notable Points of Interest The Kingdom Run Annual Road Race The Kingdom run annual road race takes place in Irasburg Vermont (Northeast Kingdom) each summer. The race both begins and finishes in the Irasburg town commons. The race consists of a down and back course which varies between paved and dirt roads. Runners have the option of participating in a 5 km, 10 km, or 20 km distance. ...More In The News The town was in the national news in 2010 when it appeared that a moose was going to be destroyed for theoretically carrying disease; but also because "tamed" wildlife is not allowed in Vermont.
