An historic B&B, Highland Lodge features beach access to gorgeous Caspian Lake, pristine Nordic ski trails, vintage private cabins, and 136 acres to explore near a culture-rich community and some of the top artisan food and beverage makers in the Vermont.

Highland Lodge guest rooms and our private cabins are each unique and reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Northeast Kingdom.

Accommodations

Accommodations include ten guest rooms at the main house with access to three living rooms, game room, dining room, house bar, and a large wood burning fireplace to quell the winter's cold.

Guests are also welcome to lodge at any of our ten dog friendly, three season and year round cabins. Cabins are complete with full kitchen, dining area, and living room.

Caspian Lake & Nordic Trail

Set in a remote mountain region of Vermont, out guests are free to enjoy pristine Caspian Lake. Lakefront sandy shores make for a great entry to the beautifully clean waters of this remote lake.

Enjoy swimming and boating during the warmer months.

We provide complimentary canoes, kayaks and sunfish for guest use.

In the winter ski world-class Nordic trails out our backyard, which connect with Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Hike or snowshoe up to Barr Hill Conservatory.

The Kitchen's Morning Breakfast

Morning Breakfast: Our hearty breakfast includes an array of local treats, including our Ginger's "magic" muffins, baked eggs, fruit, pastries, and coffee, juice and tea. Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, and spiked coffee drinks are available for purchase on weekends. We are proud to serve products from such fine locals as Vermont Coffee Company, Nutty Steph’s Vermont Granola & Chocolate, Greensboro’s award-winning Jasper Hill Cheese, and Fat Toad Goat Milk Caramel.

Dining at the Highland Lodge

The lodge is also home to a house restaurant serving lunch and dinner featuring gourmet entrees such as slow roasted quail and Venison Stroganoff with Prime Rib every Sunday.

Greensboro Nordic Trails

A Nordic Trail system was developed by the owners of the Highland Lodge and area neighbors in the 1980s. Today this trail network connects with the famous Craftsbury Outdoor Center trails, and the COC grooms and maintains the trails here in Greensboro to offer an unparalleled selection of picturesque Nordic skiing.
