Safety Note
April/May - MELTS

As the snow melts, the mountain changes. Keep these tips in mind to stay safe and make the most of your spring laps:

Mind the conditions: Thin cover, rocks, and puddles can appear quickly as the snow recedes.

Ease off the throttle: Variable terrain means it's not the time to go full send.

Look ahead: Scan the trail for unexpected hazards or changing surfaces.

Trust the ropes: Respect closures, they’re there to protect you, others, and your gear.

Shield up: The spring sun is strong, wear sunscreen and stay hydrated.

Stay aware, stay smart, and let’s finish the season on a high note.

Craftsbury Outdoor Center

May 7, 2026

After a couple of wet days we're back! Everything at COC has been cut and cleared from winter. Unclear how many blowdowns we have to clean up after the storm. HP remains as winter left it for the time being. (Green = cut and cleared). Ski trail is super soft - cross it to connect to singletrack only. The roller loop was cleared. While a preview lap by bike or on foot remains advisable, we're ready for rollerskiing. ~Updated: 05/07/26 - 04:56 pm
