"Loved our 2-night stay here. Orion and his team took over in Nov 2025 and are continuing the fabulous breakfast, snacks 24/7, relaxed atmosphere. May be for you if you appreciate independent, old style, rustic lodging (no TV or phone in the room but has wifi, A/C in all but one room, & is clean & comfortable). Some creaky boards, unusual decor, and lots of ways to hang out with others (hot tub, fire pit, living room). Hemlock Room, at the end of the corridor, gets less traffic passing by. "What a great place to stay. I have been doing full house str's for a while and this surpassed my expectations for a bed & breakfast when traveling with kids. The Woodshed Lodge is more accessible and pocketbook friendly, with no booking or cleaning fee's when I booked through their site. The place is rustic, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In addition to the diningroom with the wood stove, there are two other living rooms to relax in. Rooms were as advertised, very clean and well kept. And the innkeepers were great, super nice and put out a great breakfast (which is included in the room rate). I had to switch rooms because of a last minute extension of my stay and Kalie made the experience so easy with the addition of a cot for one of the kids. Best for me, it was quiet pretty much all the time, and east to turn-in early to prepare for early-morning adventures. Will definitely be staying again." Adrian, Five Stars, December 2025
